Manager, Business Intelligence

We are seeking a research and insights professional for a manager role within our business intelligence team.  This position works across accounts on audience and research projects.  This role is part of the growth planning team within the business intelligence group at Deutsch and works closely with cross-functional teams and interfaces directly with clients.

  • Media, Marketing or Advertising
  • Experience building audiences or segmentation structures
  • Supporting 3rd party research analysis / custom research
In this role, you will understand a client’s business and determine the best way to think about how to source and achieve their goals through business strategies and an audience recommendation. You are comfortable conducting quantitative research, developing target audiences, segmentation structures, total market approaches, and more. You are a team player and work closely with other strategists—brand, digital, and media.
  • Collect and analyze data used to investigate the client's category, competition, consumers, and business.
  • Conduct research and provide hypotheses that support a greater understanding of the client’s core business issues and barriers.
  • Create a deep understanding of a client’s growth audience through in-depth data analysis and profiling.
  • Understand and use segmentation analyses.
  • Recognize a revelatory insight over an observation and how it can be used to craft an effective strategy.
  • Be an expert or power users of various tools and resources utilized to collect data used by the team.  
  • Utilize 3rd party research, leveraging desk sources as well as more custom tools. 
  • Support team project work in areas such as data organization, budgeting and financial documentation, QA, and creating presentations highlighting the data and insights.  
  • 3-5 years of experience in analytics, audience strategy, media research, or other related experience.
  • Strong skills in Excel.
  • Experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating data with accuracy.
  • Skilled in working with MRI, GWI or YouGov.
  • Ideally experience with these tools: Vivvix, Pathmatics, Pulsar, Brandwatch.  
  • Helpful to have direct experience in conducting quantitative research.  
  • Curiosity and interest in data.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere.
  • Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
Salary ranges depending on experience around 100K.
